I have fished from Cape Hatteras North Carolina to Venice Louisiana. If you are looking Yellowfin Tuna then Louisiana is the way to go. If you want to catch Redfish and Trout Louisiana is the way to go. If you want to catch Bonefish on a flat Florida is the way. If you want to catch Sailfish, Florida is the way. If you want to catch wahoo or Sword fish South Florida is the place though I have done well with Wahoo in Louisiana too. But so far my favorite is catching 60-70# yellowfin on a popper off the rigs around venice.

Don't go knocking the fishing here! If you want day long bullred action the islands are the way to go!
