Avenger thread has been removed as per the Webmaster/owners who felt they should have been compensated for the "free advertising" just as all the other brand of manufacturers have benefitted locally.

Jon Pabst and company are a class act....just having a hard go right now as many in the NO area are experiencing. Although deleting a thread discussing a NO product seems a little petty, I guess business is business. You are right though, the thread was started by people other than John and was informative in many more areas than avenger boats. Some of us here have bought and used ads in the classifieds so maybe we are considered customers.

It's funny! the person that deleted the thread will not respond and explain why. We'll just start the thread over!

Made it to the Avenger Shop today. All were cleaning up the place and it really looked good. Early next week, they will start working on the 252 deckcapped hull and mine. Within a couple of weeks, they plan on finishing both boats at the same time...John Castelluccio, Jr.

Any ideas about an avenger 252 and a suzuki 300 4-stroke? The new 300`s are due out anytime and just possibly may give me a good hole shot and better gas mileage that running a 250 more wide open.

I think the AVENGER 252 w/300HP would make a DYNAMITE PACKAGE-bar none. Capt. Rory Rorison thinks the world of the Suzuki's. He may chime in soon or telephone him via his guide service number...John Castelluccio, Jr.

JOHN C: Sorry I haven't answered you before now. I just haven't been online lately. I have 17 hrs on her now. As near as I can figure I am getting about 4 gph. I have bought a Navman 3100 and as soon as I can figure out how to install it I'll know for sure. I don't run it WOT. I just want 40mph at 4000 and it does that with no strain. Are you getting a map locker in your passenger console?
DRREB: The only reason I didn't get a 400hp was because they don't make one--yet. As long as you are getting the best in boats, may as well go whole hog on the motor.

Bob, a 300 4-stroke would def be whole hog for me...at least. Still looking at difference in wt from the 250 to the 300. Not a lot of data out there yet.

Doc...as per www.yamaha.com/specifications--- 300 V Max/HPDI---539# 250 V Max/HPDI---539# 300 2 Stroke HPDI---543# 250 4 Stroke---603#
Noticed that Capt. Phil Robicheaux even stopped mentioning his equipment of the 252 Avenger w/Power Pole, ???Outboard motor, brand name rods and reels. Wonder if that was his (Capt. Phil) doings or BY REQUEST AND/OR THREAT!? John Castelluccio, Jr.

I havew not been able to get back to the avenger shop for a few weeks, but have a question. Are all the 252 gas tanks still aluminum? There was some talk of going with the PVC or whatever that stuff is, but never heard the final decision.

[/quoteYesterday, Wednesday, I was there for over three hours...watched my consoles being made----very labor/material intensive! Avenger Shop is still using aluminum fuel tanks in ALL OF THEIR HULLS!!! As with everything...the "prices are climbing up"...John Castelluccio, Jr.
