Does anyone know if the "Kenner" brand of boats are still being manufactured? And if so, who makes them? I thought the Kenner line was sold a few years back. I have a friend whose friend is looking for a used Kenner. Checked the RodnReel classified and don't see any Kenner boats for sale.
Let me know if you know of anyone who has a used Kenner (19-21' size preferably) for sale. Plesae e-mail me at "way2gopete@yahoo.com" with contact name/phone number if you know of one for sale.

| Pete, as far as I know, they are made/sold by Bass Pro Shops(BPS). The original Kenner bay boats(I had a 21') from the 1980-90's were made by Bill Kenner in Arkansas. He sold the "Kenner" line to either Brunswick Marine(Mercury) or BPS a few years ago; I can't recall which company bought Kenner. K-2 is the brand Bill Kenner sells boats under now. So technically, Kenner boats are still manufactured. But, old line Kenner owners think in terms of Bill Kenner original "Kenner Boats" and post-Bill Kenner "Kenner Boats" sold/made by BPS. Confused? I think they(BPS Kenner's) are still pretty good boats. I know the original Kenner's were great. K-2 boats are top notch-think Blackjack and Frontier. |

bill kenner has built a number of different boats in his lifetime, then sold the companies to someone else with a 2 to 4 year non- compete agreement, then has started a new company. bass pro bought his kenner line and now builds them under the mako brand name. the blackjaok and the frontier are his newest ventures.

| If you are looking for the 24ft Kenner Bayboat, take a look at the 2400 Blazer Bay. Same hull. |

Ed, is there another Bass Pro Shop in Louisiana other than the new one in Denham Springs? That's the only one I know of in Louisiana.

Hey Pete, I think there is another BPS in the Shreveport Bossier City area.

there is infact one in bossier city, it was the first bass pro shop in louisiana. another thing about bill kenner, he was the one who built and sold the ski barge, it was a center console rig for skiers, but that is not who bought them, they were the first bay boats to hit the marsh. they even made a fishing ski barge version. the ski barge hull became the most copied hull in the early days of bay boats.

My wife's uncle had a Ski Barge. It was a great boat. The first center console style boat I ever fished in.
