Every fish a gift

5048588862
Better to have loved and lost? Some may argue…. we had boat issues and didn’t leave the dock till 11 yesterday. Made one drop For about an hour and had a couple peck and run bites then moved a couple miles and reset It didn’t take long till we were bowed up with a huge sword. She jumped early so we knew she was a giant. Michael fought the fish like a champ but in the end we pulled hooks 10 cranks from the leader as the sun was setting. Solid proof you can do everything right and loose them. Every fish a gift

Swords on fire !

The past few days have been stellar on swords and tuna. Tuesday I took my friends Giang Nguyen and Mike Le. Neither had ever reeled a sword and they wanted only big fish! Well,it was their day. We had the firs fish on by 830am. Giang was on the reel and he cranked him like a pro. I could tell by the way the fish was acting that he was a top ten contender. He was pulling 25lbs of drag like a person with him on their shoe. Two and a half hours into the fight though Giang got an unwanted assist from a small mako. The shark chewed on the big sword rail till he couldn’t use it and Giang cranked it on in. The fish weighed 215lbs headed and gutted so no doubt he was close. It took about an hour for our next bite. Mike (aka Mr crossfi) was onthe reel His fish swam right to the top and tried to jump in the boat! When I saw him I thought he was about 150 but three hours later I wasn’t so sure. Finally we stuck him- a stud 250! It’s always so hard to tell how big they are when they jump. Even when they’re 10 feet away! Going to be back at them Friday! Still have a few days left open this month. Give me a call or text and come get some! Capt. Peace 504-858-8862

Costa Rica super slam with Capt. Peace

5048588862
Come see me in Costa Rica. I have 2-3 spots open on the trip leaving Jan 14 or Jan 23. You fly into San Jose Costa Rica then take a puddle jumper to Golfito. Flight from san JOSE to Golfito is about $200. Boat is a 2006 65′ long range. ( thumper blue water charters) We leave at 10pm, fish swords, marlin, sails, tuna and dorado for 3 days. No one has fished swords out of there and the bottom charts look excellent. There are a whole Lot of squid as well. We will catch Live squid at night and rig them. The trip is $12,000 for up to 4 people. This is a new frontier for swords with all the other billfish are pretty much a sure thing as well as tuna and dorado. Let’s go do a super slam! (504) 858-8862
