Took a doe yesterday evening here at Rock Hill Hunting Club.
The wind was howling out the south.
But the wind was in my face just the way I like it as I hunted a field favorable with a south wind.
Figured if I was going to see any deer it would be late.
Sure enough a doe came out on the green field at 5 pm.
She presented me with a broad side shot at about 75 yards and the Tikka 308 did the job.
Put the 150 grain bullet just behind the shoulder and she ran about 30 yards and piled up.
Going to turn her and the buck into some good sausage and hamburger.
The rut will start in about 3 weeks and the big bucks will be on the move.
