The Reel Life made the round in open water again today and made out pretty good. There were so many fish swimming around it was hard to hook the tuna. The bonita and sharks were so bad we caught about 10 bonita to every tuna. This doesn’t count the ones lost to the sharks. The bonita were so aggressive they would eat the magnun mullets and not give the tuna a chance. While this was going on a couple of nice AJ‘s came in and one fell for a mullet and one on a 9″ tsunami swim bait. After all of this we tried for a wahoo and went 0 for 2. One to a split ring failure and one to straighten hooks. At the end of the day we had 9 black fin and 2 AJ’s in the box. There were plent tuna around but too many other mouths to feed. I’ll be out for a couple of weeks to visit Mickey Mouse so good luck to all. Capt. Eric will take over for me. For your day call Capt. Tommy or Capt. Eric Pellegrin 985-851-3304.
