Don’s Outdoor Debacles

Go To Reports

Solo or no go.  Solo it is.  Did a repeat trip to orange bayou.  Was hoping with all that bait out there, something worth catching might show up. With fairly slack tide and plenty of heat, I decided to stick with parking under shade tree, ilo running around.  Just needed a little tide movement, when it finally moved, 4 reds in a row, 15-15 1/2.  Then a complete shutdown and back to all garbage fish.  The ladyfish are destroying most attempts to fish with bait in that area.  Caught a few fish, mostly stayed out the heat, and enjoyed what nature was willing to share even though it was slim pickings.

    What hit the boat:

    4 Reds

    14 Croakers

    8 Sailcats

    4 Hardheads

    3 Crabs

1 bushel of grass from slack tide
