Don’s Outdoor Debacles

More west wind, a little heat, low expectations, and not much of an idea  about any of these conditions except to get out there and chunk something in the water.  And chunk, me and Lucy did.  Tried some of the draining ponds around Lake John area.  No tide, decent wind blowing mid morning made the conditions bearable.   Tons of bait in the water, hardheads appear to be in every hole.  Caught a few fish, it was tough pickings, just enough action to keep me interested and little enough to put Lucy to sleep.  Got to see the beginnings of the blessing of the fleet on the way out of Delacroix, parties and peoples everywhere.  Nice day on the water.

    What hit the boat:

1 red keeper, 1 small red

    1 Bass keeper

    12 hardheads

    2 sticks

    1 shell

Was it the best fishing trip of your life, until the next one??????????

    2. Why yes it was. Especially counting in today’s lunch of grilled redfish and bass in garlic butter sauce.
