Posted - 03/25/2012 : 12:56:13 PM Been feeling pretty limited by my old bank fishing spots, figured I'd try exploring around Irish Bayou. The Hwy 11 bridge is closed at the moment, and I also found good fishing off the rocks underneath and to the sides of the twin spans. Seen lots of folks along the side of Hwy 11 fishing the canals. On two occasions caught some nice Sheeps, Croaker, Cats, and even a few Trout. Anyone else go out that way?

Sure as shooting drive around and stick a hook into any spot you can fit into ... Where the culverts cross hwy 90 is a great place ... If you can sit a little boay or yak then that is a natural for you ... you will never know what will bight you baits butt over there ... That is the place I had my first augment with a gator over who was going to eat the fish on my stringer ... He lost the fight and I had to bury in my mother in laws back yard ... Bless his little heart his remains got a right fancy planting in the veggy garden ... Right after removing all other useable parts ...
