I am wanting to go fishing for specks and reds somewhere next Saturday and/or Sunday, June 3-4 -- and any other weekend I can, for that matter. I am 23 y.o. out-of-towner student working in Metairie this summer and don't really know many people down here. I would be happy to split expenses any fair way. I have all the gear and am an experienced fisherman -- I just need a means to go. Any locations are great. Shoot me an email at tjruff17@yahoo.com if interested. I am pretty desperate! Have a good one.

What's up tj? Just wanted to let you know someone was out here. I would be more than happy to accomodate you during the week, but I don't fish on weekends. If you look back, I'm always looking for company on weekdays. If you ever get a break during the week, give me shout a few days in advance.

I'm stil repairing my boat from katrina damage. It's been hard to find a trailer. I ordered one and 3 month later the dealer could not deliver and gave me a refund. I found a used one but I need to change the runners, etc. I would be willing to share expenses if someone needs a fishing partner. I can go fishing any day. My boss understand that a fishing trip is considered an emergency to me.
I live in Terrytown and usually fish the Port Sulphur area and also Seabrook.

call me I'm in the book and I live in Gretna (off wall blvd), last night was a long one and my other fishing buddies couldn't get up I do not like to go fishing alone just because of the hassle of launching and my boards run the distance of my boat so I will not hoist. Oh yeah, I can fish anytime. Going out later today, tomorrow, Monday, Tuesday.

My plans for this weekend are fish on Sat. fish on Sunday. I have party to go to Saturday evening so Sunday morning may get scratched but if you want to go I'll make sure I go. (that is going to be one of those mornings everyone else stays in bed)

T heart what is a little money? If its charter prices I'd rather do a charter, I don't fish offshore and I don't have equipment to. But don't get me wrong, I'd love to go. My 250 burns lots of gas because if I'm driving its wide open throttle, I am only conservative in politics not in gas. hahaha.

Hey, Lackey, have you got someone fishing with you on Saturday? I would be interested in making a trip -- either day would likely do fine. Where do you usually fish, anyway? And just how much gas do you usually burn?

Yeah my friend Oscar. I have an 87 gallon tank and I burn at most 1/4 of tank if we fish Lafitte and travel down to the manila village and over to plum point, but the reds have been hitting in Lake Savadore so we can pretty much paddle there. Otherwise going to fish Port Sulphur which is long drive but not that long boat ride.
Tj I don't need or request gas money, pay for launch (5$) and we'll call it even.

I'll be leaving about 6:00am
and promise to not laugh at my boat, at least it floats.
IF I DO NOT RETURN, TJRUFF IS THE CULPRIT (PLEASE PROSICUTE)

I am not opposed to it at all, as long as the man in charge stays safe. This Mississippi boy would die if he got lost in that marsh. I have a few questions too...
Why would I laugh at your boat -- it sounds pretty nice. Or is the one in your signature the one you are "about" to buy? Haha.
How long do you plan to fish?
What kinda fishing stuff should I pick up? I have rods/reels but no baits/lures yet? I'm thinking jig heads, plastics, coupla topwater plugs, gold spoon, popping cork. What else?
Anything I am forgetting? I am gonna email you my cell #, also. I will touch base with you another time or two before tonight. No matter what, if I ain't there at 6 -- don't wait. I never oversleep and am never late -- so if I don't show, I had a change of plans.
IF I DON'T RETURN -- well you know the drill...

Pass by his house after work today, His boat and truck was there.
No sign of lackey,
The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad...

Come to think of it, he may not be able to move, I forgot Oscar's driving on way in was terrible. He hits a wave from some deep well pleasure boat at 30 or so mph that sent us airborne ... don't worry Oscar wont drive again, lol

Yeah, I am alive and well. Just haven't been on the board since the trip. I had a great time!
And yes, the ride back in was kinda crazy. Your seat in front of the console needed about two inches more foam when we met that big sportfisher. But if the boat owner wasn't worried about those waves, who am I to complain?
Thanks again lackey!
