“I have been fishing in the Cocodrie area, golden meadow and Dularge this week and wrapping up today!

The fishing was good, slow but managed a mess of fish each day, fun and laughter off the hook literally.

Tangled lines birds nest reels, dropped poles in the water.

And through it all the camaraderie among the guides was just short of amazing.

No pissing contests on the water everyone of them helping the other ones out, laughing and just having a good time.

And last but not least a group of guides on one boat riding around scouting out areas.

Stopping to chat offer advice Ask for advice, they treated the recreational people like myself with respect and just an all around niceness.

Just very pleasant people to be around on the water.

What a shining example of Sportsmanship!

Then I had the pleasure of joining in a conversation yesterday evening at the Sportsmans paradise restaurant, met Ms. Connie and just had a wonderful dinner talking about the days catch with all the anglers.

It never ceases to amaze me how fishing is a universal language!

Louisiana has some of the best fishing in the world and also some of the best fishing guides!

Below are just a few I had the pleasure of actually meeting this past week and two I fished with.

Thank you so much guys for being an advocate for good sportsmanship.

It makes a fishing trip so much more memorable when the ambiance is beautiful weather great fishing guides, putting fish in the box and laughter all day long!

It makes my job a dream come true! I can’t thank these guides enough for the wonderful time my friends and I had. Fishing with Captain Casey Lombard and Captain George Spivey was a blast!

The highlight of the five days of bitter cold winds, and low water with little to no tide was the fact my friend Marc Scroggs visiting from Branson Missouri caught his first red fish ever and what a happy camper he was when he went on to catch three more even bigger than his first.

Definitely one of the most fun trips I have had the pleasure of being on and writing about! All fish was caught under a popping cork and high water plastics, fish can’t resist them!
