RodnReel.COM NEWS The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is conducting a free
workshop for young children in the Baton Rouge area. Parents are encouraged
to bring children aged three to four to attend “Babes in the Woods” at the
Waddill Outdoor Education Center on
Jan. 11, 2000, from 10 - 10:45 a.m. The facility is located at 4142 N.
Flannery Road in Baton Rouge.
The workshop will include hands-on experiences with the pelts of small
mammals commonly found in Louisiana, such as beaver, mink and raccoon.
Children will have a chance to see and feel different furs and will also
have the opportunity to create artwork.
Preregistration for the class is required. Persons who would like more
