ROBICHAUX CHARTERS LAFITTE REPORT…
Today I had the pleasure of guiding first time customers from Georgia Mr Ron Byrd and Ms Sandy Byrd. The guys are brand new cattle farmers who left office jobs and seem to be doing quite well. Anyway, very nice people who were a joy to be on the boat with. We left Nick’s Marina and headed to the redfish grounds to find the fish on the stubborn side, especially early this morning. Hopes were that the bite would improve as the tide came in and thankfully, it did. We threw the trusty fresh shrimp under popping corks to boat a nice limit of reds and 4 puppy drum by around noon. Ron and Sandy did a great job fishing this technique for the first time and it was obvious that they are avid fisherpeople. All in all it was a great day on the water spent with new friends and I look forward to their return!
