CHEF PASS REPORT
Went out late this evening out of the Chef Pass looking for some “post-front” action. Well as things would have it, not enough time has gone by. We arrived to find dirty water and cooler conditions than last week. Give it another day to warm up again and the water to settle and it should pick up as long as no other “northwesters” come down. The trout scene wasn’t a pretty one in the 3 hours that we had to work with. But in the last minutes, we decided to make a stop for a few reds and found ’em eating up!! They were taking candy corn assasins under a cork. Within the last 30 minutes we put together 10 reds and 1 lone trout. All the reds were 18″-22″, perfect for the grill!! Fish any ledges that have some type of structure whether it is oysters, trees, pilings, etc. for the fish to hold, along with a moving tide. There is plenty of marsh to cover between the Paris Road bridge and the Rigolets off of the intercostal where these reds can be found.
Ought To Be Fishing Charters has ready days available! The fishing is great when we get a warm day or two!! So if you’re looking to enjoy a day on the water with family, friends, or entertain some clients, drop us a line @ 504-259-5304 or visit www.OughtToBeFishing.com
