Yesterday I had the pleasure of guiding first time customers Brock Carpenter and his buddies JJ, Josh, and Eric from the Sorrento area which is just east of Baton Rouge. The guys had purchased a gift certificate for a charetr about this time last year but the historic floods that hit their area affected their homes and that put the trip on hold of course. Life has returned to somewhat normal so they were ready to go fishing!
We were expecting good fishing which is usually the case after tropical systems raise the tide and bring good salinities and tons of bait and fish to the areas that they hit. That worked out for sure as we filled the cleaning table with 25 redfish, 19 puppy drum, 2 bass, one sheep, and one flounder, a serious meat haul. Many thanks again to Brock, JJ, Josh, and Eric for supporting our service for the first time. We look forward to their return!
