STILL CHASING REDFISH…
The redfishing remains good here in Lafitte and the trout are making appearances for brief moments.
Capt Mike Kennair and myself had the pleasure of guiding the Mullaly brothers on a recent trip. Tim and Sean joined us for 2 days of fishing. Capt Mikey handled day one and found some big reds that were schooled up in a main lake. The guys enjoyed sight-fishing for the big bruisers and watching them crush the gold spoons. They kept their limit of bulls along with some nice keepers and released several more bulls. I was up to bat for day 2 and found the reds stacked up on a rock weir for the Mullaly brothers who put a limit on ice in short order. The numbers were great and the fish were the perfect eating size. We covered some water after that and released several more fish for good measure. All in all it was 2 great days on the waters pent with good people and we look forward to future trips with these guys. Thanks again to Tim and Sean for supporting our service.
