Finally got a weekend break from Mother Nature to go to the Lump Saturday, although it wasn’t without surprises.  Arrived at Venice Marina to be greeted with 100′ visibility; nonetheless ran electronics down river to open water where it cleared up and was 2-3′ seas, not bad.  First blood on the new boat was a 40# YF within 5 minutes.  The bite slowed after boat #60 showed up.  Ended the day with 1-YF, 1- 35# grouper caught by some good friends big Duke and Nick Bruno (Happy B-day Nick) another small grouper and some B-liners.  Not a bad shake down trip with Mike and Mark.  Got greeted with 5-6′ seas by 2pm on the way in but managed to stay dry at 20 knots.  Can’t wait for the next opportunity to enjoy a day on the Lump with great friends.

    Tight lines & screeming drags,
