He knew that in order to keep Strike Zone Charters competitive, he would have to find an advertising medium more powerful than any print medium, including newspapers, advertisers and outdoor magazines. To stay at the top of the increasingly-competitive recreational fishing industry, he was going to have to try other things. Bonnano said he has advertised in two regional sportsmen’s magazines, but hasn’t received nearly the business that he has with his custom designed website on Rodnreel.com. "Since I got on Rodnreel.com about a year ago, the reponse has been incredible," Bonnano said. "I only with that I’d gotten on sooner. My business has grown, and so has Venice. And I honestly believe that Rodnreel.com played a big part in making that happen. Before booking a trip, Bonnano’s customers can read fishing reports, weather and water conditions, as well as view hundreds of photos from recent trips. And that is only some of the content of Louisiana’s Number One fishing and hunting and fishing website. Booking records show that Strike Zone Charters has seen substantial increases in their out-of-state customers. Bonnano said the website has helped him get the name of his business out to people that have never seen it. He said people constantly recognize the name of his company T-shirt almost wherever he is. The bottom line is, Rodnreel.com is making it work for Strike Zone Charters. "I have five boats so I have to book more trips," Bonnano said. "Rodnreel.com has given me the exposure I need to stay on top of the game."
