Hey, its us over at Sweetwater. Yes, we are still living. Just very busy. Lately, with these little fronts blowing left and right..fishing has been a little difficult, because the water is low and dirty due to the western wind directions. The good news is the wind has switched to East Southeast, and that has raised the water tremendously. The fishing was so good Friday and Saturday, then Sunday it dropped off. Saturday..Captain Jack had a charter, and they ended up with 50 trout, 9 reds, 6 black drum, 3 sheepshead and lots of throwback reds. Yesterday, Captain Jack took out a charter. They ended up catching 15 trout, 4 sheep head and 5 reds by 1:30…They went back out and fished till dark and ended up catching 40 trout. It was a long, hard day for Captain Jack. Fishing should be picking back up, since the water has come up and cleared up tremendously. The shrimp are finally starting to show up in the interior..the birds are diving…so, if you like to fish under the birds…get there early morning or late evening. We do have plenty of live shrimp. The weather is looking good for all week..looks like it might get shakey for the weekend..of course. The water has cleared up on the inside and is clearing up on the outside. If you get the opportunity, come on down!
