Captain Jack says sorry about falling asleep last night, before writing about his charter trip. Captain Jack had three little fisherman that had the greatest time fishing with him for the second year in a row yesterday. They started out fishing for trout by the rocks in Hopedale. They ended up catching 15 keepers and 20 throwbacks with trout. Fishing was kind of slow, so they left the rocks and went fish the interior. If anyone is curious, it is about a 40 minute ride from Sweetwater to the rocks. They got on the redfish in the interior. It was one after the other; however, they had to pick through them to get good size ones. With little guys on the boat..the action was all they were looking for..and there was mega action! Today for the Laitram fishing tournament…lots of redfish came in and trout. Some limits of trout came in. It seemed like everyone caught a good amount of fish. Seems like a lot of action yesterday came from Fourhorse area, Round Lake and Bay Shallow. Today, people caught in Bay Lafouche. It’s setting up to be a pretty day tomorrow..light north winds..forget about the jazz fest and all the other garbage..come fishing and really relax with a nice day on the water. It’s time to plan that summer vacay…book right here at Sweetwater! We can’t wait to see ya!
