Captain Jack had a great time fishing with his good buddy, C.T. Williams! They headed out of Sweetwater to go catch some reds around 8am. They caught their limit of beautiful redfish. They caught a bunch of throwbacks, as well. They fished around the Point Fienne area. They fished with popping corks, for the most part. However, they did catch a few on the bottom. The red-fishing seems to be REALLY, really good in Delacroix. Everyone seems to be catching reds, when they go out on their trips. As far as the trout, it seems that more and more are showing up in the interior of Delacroix. The only problem is that the water just doesn’t seem to stay clean. There is so much river water; it is kind of hard for it to filtrate out that quickly. Today, Captain Jack & Captain C.t. Williams caught 15 keeper reds, 4 keeper speckled trout, 1 keeper bass and 2 keeper black drum, also around 20 throwback drum and tons of throwback reds. Captain Jack is looking forward to watching C.T. Williams & himself tomorrow night, on Fox8 news. It will probably air sometime around 9-10pm. Make sure you watch Captain Jack & Captain C.T. Williams catch tons of fish tomorrow night! Also, a few other anglers came in with some good reports. A couple of them had limits of reds. One group had 20 or so trout. We have plenty of beautiful, live shrimp for all of our great customers! The weather may be kind of windy for Wednesday and Thursday, but it should warm back up by Friday. The wind issue doesn’t seem to matter for the reds, but it does suck to fish in the wind.
