While making a hunting trip to Sonora TX, Mr. Ted Price mentioned that he wanted some fresh trout to make Trout Almondine. So my buddy Duke Gallagher called and asked if the trout are biting this week and I said yes lets go, WOW were they ever biting. From the very first cast it was on and we never moved. After we put 50 in the box using a Havoc Grass Pig (swamp gas and watermelon colors) and with the bite getting better we started with the top water and the trout responded with blow up after blow up on top. What a sight to see. The largest was 2.75 pounds so no giants but plenty of real nice trout showing off on top. You would think that with water temperatures at 60 degrees the trout would be a little lethargic but these trout were very aggressive. It was very calm but very foggy as the picture shows. What a great day with great friends.
