Environmental nightmare?? Quite the opposite. The nutrients in the water will serve as constant fertilizer for the plants of the marsh, making them healthier than ever all the while treating the water (natural wastewater treatment as someone mentioned). I read about the design of it in the BR Advocate about a month ago. A long pipeline was built to evenly distribute the water over miles of wetlands. Watch and see how healthy the marsh becomes in the area of this watershed. Email me with any other questions. Being an environmental engineering student, nearly to my degree, i’m fairly knowledgable about this sort of process. Weather’s great, wish I were fishing.
