Today’s excursion with Ray in my boat was to re-familiarize me with the Lake Amadee run from Delacroix, and see if we could pick off a few trout.  Simple and straightforward enough route, I shouldn’t mess it up too bad.  Needed to find a route to some cleaner water if I’m ever going to catch a trout again.  We did not overly succeed on that today, could see lure almost 6 inches down in Amadee, better than Delacroix side by a little bit.  We foiled around and caught a few fish, a easy breezy day.  Threw fish back, scouting trout trip.  No signs of a trout that I can see, it’s been a lean season.

    What hit the boat:

    2 Redfish

    1 Fat Sheepshead
