    In response to Geaux Coastal

I talked to the guy that owned the boat.  He told
me that the water got rough so they turned to
go back to the launch, the boat started taking
waves over the bow, he told everyone to put on
a life jacket. I was at the launch when the 4 of
them came in on another boat.  LDWF was able
to recover the boat and nobody wasn injured.

    Fishing Reports

    25Apr

    Sweetwater Marina

Sorry about no reports recently, however I’ll give you guys the breakdown on what happened over the weekend! Saturday’s fishing was, overall, really good! A lot of people were coming in with plenty of fish! Sunday’s fishing was decent! Launched about 35 boats…around 10 did extremely well, and the rest kind of struggled. The people that struggles caught some, but only 10 were lucky…they came back in with speckled trout, redfish and some really nice sheephead…a few with limits of speckled trout! Today’s fishing wasn’t so bad either, considering the water was 8-10 inches lower than normal and a good bit dirtier. Some guys did really well..bringing in some big speckled trout! We are looking forward to some better action for tomorrow..the wind has laid down to nothing…the water should clear up over night! So, the fishing should be back to being good by tomorrow! If you get an opportunity, you should come down tomorrow…the fish will be back to biting really good, since this little weather change that occurred the last few days! As far as redfish, Captain Jack talked to some of the redfish guys….they said they caught some nice fish and seen some big schools! So, if you like to catch redfish or you want to win a redfish tournament, Delacroix is your area! There have been more tournaments won out of Delacroix than anywhere else in the last few years! Delacroix is now the new home of the big fat reds…a lot of the copper whoppers that will win you the money $$$! Venice Guide Service April Report

The river stayed low all thru March, but has risen in April, but it's like the trout got trapped in the bays and they are sticking it out. The river is expected to go down pretty soon, and things are only going to get better. Also, the red snapper are insane, just need calm winds. Enjoy the pics.

CAPT. KERRY AUDIBERT-OUGHT TO BE FISHING CHARTERS, LLC.

ANOTHER OUTSTANDING DAY AT THE BEACH…. Had the pleasure of guiding Jesse Hatcher, Wayne, and George again for the second day. Dr. Greg also drove in and joined them. We headed out the Sound made one stop picking off about 40 fish then they shrunk and we moved on. Made 4 more stops out further and caught about a half doz good fish. Opted to head back inside and close the deal. Pulled up to a cove with a good shell bottom, water was pouring in and bait was huddled up and the trout were there. The boys went to working the trout over and filling the coleman. In short order boxed their hundo and we moved down the bank to try a shot at a bull for George. We caught 10 and we boxed our five. George finally got his and a second at that! Another great day crushing the fish at the beach just minutes outside the New Orleans cbd!
All fish were caught with 13 Fishing Green and Black Omen Rods teamed up with FINS WINDTAMER BRAID on campos live shrimp under corks.
